GP HS Teams Get Great Send Off to State Tournaments

Both the Garfield Palouse High School softball team and the High School track team left Thursday, May 25, 2011, for their State tournaments.

Palouse law enforcement and emergency vehicle personnel formed an honor escort out of town as townsfolk lined the north side of Main Street and waved them off with well wishes.

The softball team play their first game Friday at 1 pm in Yakima. Second game will be at 5 pm.

High School softball team members are:
Seniors, Tiona Shea, Emily Witthuhn, Erin Witthuhn and Madisyn Woltering; Juniors, Mickaila Martin and Terrie Taylor; Sophomore,  Sarah Wilson, Freshmen,  Kelsey Bielenberg, Sammie Johnson, Cassie Martin, McKenzie McClanahan, and Chandler Pfaff.
