The evening was a smashing hit for the Rockford Women’s Club “Mother Daughter Dinner”.
Sixty-seven attended, all wearing hats. They included members, daughter’s, grand-daughter’s, nieces, daughters-in-law and friends.
The gals cast votes, amid much laughter and admiration, for best 3-adult hats and best 3-children's hats. Gail Kopp, Betty Gady and Jennifer Wigen got the three gift bags for women, as little Alison Dashiell, Abbey Wigen and Trinity Oliver joined them and gleefully took treasures from their gift bags.
Not all of the 37 Rockford Women’s Club active member were able to attend this year's event.
The club's next meeting will be June 7, 2011, 7:00 pm, at the Harvest Moon Restaurant Banquet Room, 20 South 1st St., Rockford, WA.
Their next actity will be a picnic on the first day of summer, June 21, 2011, 6:30 p.m. at Manito Park, 1702 S. Grand, Spokane, WA where they also plan to visit the park's historic Rose Garden & Japanese Garden. (http://www.manitopark.info/)
Dues for the upcoming season will $10 and due on June 7th at our next business meeting.
