GarPal Colton track and field scored, placed and pr’d at the 2011 State 2B track and field championships at EWU in Cheney.
The men’s team won the State 1B Academic Championships with the highest GPA in the state for schools of their size and the women’s team won 3rd!!
Senior Chad Redman placed 2nd in the 110m hurdles (15.91), 5th in the 300m hurdles (41.31), and 8th in the High Jump (5’10”).
Junior Jeff Kent placed 7th in both the 100m (11.8) and the 200m (23.76). He placed 9th in the pole vault, with a new PR of 10’6”.
The men’s relay team, (Kent, Anthony Floyd, Nick Robertson, and Redman) placed 9th with a PR of 46.22.
The Men's team was 13th in the state overall!!
Junior Emma Akin place 8th in the triple jump (32’4.75”).
Junior Addy Hamilton placed 14th in the pole Vault (7’6”).

VikCats only lose 2 graduating seniors and are looking forward to next season! Special Thanks to:
1st year MS assistant coach Cliff Knuaff who worked with the HS team all season doing whatever was needed.
1st year HS assistant/throws coach John Cole- our throwers showed tremendous improvement, as did the other athletes that you worked with.
Guest conditioning clinician Taylor "the torturer" White who helped us beat them into shape; Colton Coach/team trainer Ed Robertson. Sue Redman for volunteering to help with a variety of activities/food. Ann Thompson who helped time and helped spread the good (results) news!
Year end party is scheduled for June 7th where awards will be presented.
